Advocate Vijai Kumar

Advocate Vijai Kumar is Masters in Maths and holds an L.L.B. degree in Taxation.

After a long sting in the Central Board of Excise and Customs, serving at various capacities, he retired in 2010 as Additional Commissioner (SDR) in office of CDR-CESTAT, New-Delhi.

The span of issues he handled during his career ranges from Customs Procedures; Movement of containers and goods; Courier mode; Trade Facilitation; Development of Infrastructure- ICDs, Ports, Airports etc. and Bilateral/ Multi lateral Agreements.

He has also worked as Joint/Additional Commissioner in Authority for Advance Rulings and also handled cases of Transfer Pricing, Related Party Transactions etc.

Presently he is working as Consultant and Advocate and appearing before Customs, Excise and Service Tax Appellate Tribunal, New Delhi on behalf of various Parties

He writes regularly in Journal Excise Law Times and website:www.taxindiaonline.com. He is also invited regularly as guest faculty at NACEN, Faridabad, IIFT, New Delhi; I.P. University Delhi; and Industry bodies such as FIEO; FICCI; ASSOCHAM and FISME.
